Mental Health Services Manager

Hours: 40 hours/week

Location: Red Arrow, 2096 Red Arrow Trail, Fitchburg, WI

The Mental Health Services Manager supports and provides the expertise to ensure quality social/emotional development services are delivered to children and families. The Mental Health Services Manager assists staff in supporting children/families with special social and emotional needs through use of observation, accompaniment, recommendations, and use of Swivl video technology. The Manager supervises the Integrated Support Specialists and the Social Emotional Specialists and provides oversight of implementing reflective practice and trauma informed care practices in preschool programs. The Manager also assists in agency planning and in promoting positive social and emotional development activities and training for children, families and staff.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Licensed or ability to become a Licensed Mental Health professional within two years of hire required
  • Master’s degree in a mental health related field required
  • Experience providing for the mental health services of low-income children and families
  • Knowledge of treatment strategies in the areas of neuroscience and trauma informed capacities with children and family crisis intervention
  • Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and training skills
  • Knowledge and ability to keep up-to-date on State/Federal regulations and Head Start performance standards and practices
  • Embodies and perpetuates a growth mindset
  • Ability to embrace and adapt to an innovative and dynamic workplace culture
  • Exemplifies superior Emotional Intelligence capacities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required; must be highly self-motivated and self-directed
  • Effective communication and information dissemination skills
