Early Head Start Teacher

Department: Education 0-3
Location: Madison, WI

POSITION SPECIFIC DETAILS:

  • Hours: 40 hours/week- Full Time
    Status: Full Year
  • Locations: Madison, WI - Different locations include GB Arbor Hills, East Madison, South Madison, and Wee Start
  • Pay: $22.65 to 25.10 an hour depending on education

Qualifications:

  • Educational pathway options:
    • Infant Toddler Credential/CDA or
    • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or
    • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with 18 ECE credits
  • Strong ability to apply Early Childhood Development theory
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Experience in multicultural, diverse environments preferred
  • Ability to obtain Registry Certificate within 90 days

Role Overview: The Early Head Start Teacher will create a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 0-3, implementing a holistic curriculum that:

  • Challenges deficit-based narratives about children and families
