Hours: 6:45 am- 8:15 am

Pay $15.84 an hour
SUMMARY:
The Bus Aide will assist with the daily pick-up and delivery of children on the bus route. The Bus Aide will provide a developmentally appropriate transportation experience for children, as well as ensure that all children are safe on the bus route. Provide safe boarding, riding, and exiting of passengers.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Successfully pass the Caregiver Background Check
Successfully pass a physical examination, which verifies the employee is free from communicable diseases and is physically able to perform required job responsibilities
Maintain the interior of assigned bus so as to guarantee a clean and sanitary environment for individuals being transported
Demonstrate sensitivity toward all cultures
Ability to participate in all required bus aide training and professional development
Experience working with low-income, multicultural families
Ability to address the needs of children with disabilities
Bilingual, particularly Spanish and / or Hmong, is desired
Physical dexterity, coordination, mobility, visual acuity and emotion health to perform the essential functions of the position including the ability to lift and/or restrain children of varying levels and sizes
Obtain Pediatric CPR certification within 6 months of employment
Knowledge of basic first aid
*Part Year employees have built in vacations which include summer break, 2 weeks in winter, and spring break (part year staff follow the school district calendar in which their program is located)
