Human Resource Generalist - Bilingual Spanish preferred

SUMMARY:
The Bilingual Human Resources Generalist Senior is responsible for providing support for a wide variety of activities in human resources including employee relations, recruiting, and administration of benefits. The main responsibility is to advise managers, supervisors, or administrators in all HR practices, to provide information to employees about regulations, contract language, and policies, and to provide general support. This position will act as a resource to Reach Dane Reach Green staff, volunteers and community partners and provide managerial support for the Human Resources Director and Human Resources Manager.

  

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with specialization in Human Resources or Business.
  • Degree in Human Resources or Business from an accredited institution 3-5 years’ experience as HR generalist.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in managing a variety of employee relations issues, counseling all levels of staff, while working in an environment of change.
  •  Oral and written proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
  •  The ability to translate documents, such as fliers, meeting minutes, policies and procedures
  •  Knowledge of employment laws, labor relations, benefits plans, FMLA, and ADA.
  •  Proficiency in multi-tasking and meeting sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced environment with a personal commitment to producing the highest quality work and providing extraordinary customer service.
  •  Effective and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to apply consultative skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  •  Ability to develop and deliver effective employee communications.
  •  Knowledge of employment laws, labor relations, benefits plans, Leave of Absence, FMLA, and ADA.
  •  High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to perform data analysis and make recommendations on workforce planning.
  •  Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Paylocity, HRMS, Payroll, applicant tracking desired.
  •  Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.
  • Experience with low-income populations desired; sensitivity to various cultures required.
  • Have a valid Wisconsin Driver's License, motor vehicle and adequate liability insurance as required by agency policy and state liability regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
