Early Head Start Compliance Specialist

Reach Dane/Reach Green offers a generous benefit package to regular employees that work 20 hours or more per week. The Early Head Start Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the agency complies with all regulations per applicable performance standards. This position will assist with the tracking of program compliance information, running scheduled reports and regular communication with the Early Head Start team. This position will also work in collaboration with the Early Head Start Enrollment Specialist to ensure compliance across all aspects of the Early Head Start program.


  •  High School diploma or GED required; job related Associate’s degree is preferred
  •  Experience developing and maintaining records and a record system required
  •  Knowledge and experience with the Head Start program and performance standards preferred
  •  Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision
  •  Strong working knowledge of personal computers, Windows and Microsoft Office software
  •  Accurate editing and key boarding skills (50 wpm)
  •  Experience with and knowledge of database systems
  •  Experience with low-income, multicultural families, and knowledge of needs of low-income families is desirable
  •  Experience with disabled people is desirable
  •  Must be detail-oriented and maintain a high level of accuracy
  •  Must have the ability to determine workload priority and work independently
  •  Ability to prioritize, organize, problem solve and effectively handle multiple tasks
