Fund Raising/Development Director

Reach Dane/Reach Green offers a generous benefit package to regular employees that work 20 hours or more per week. The benefit package includes the option to enroll in health insurance (75% employer paid premium), dental insurance (50% employer paid premium), and vision insurance. The Development Director of Reach Dane does successful friendraising and fundraising to support the activities of the organization. The Development Directorís primary responsibility will be to raise money for the organization. Additional responsibilities of the Development Director include but are not limited to finding volunteers for the Boardís committees and events, marketing tasks, and identifying funding sources such as grants, in-kind donations, and charitable events. Strong relationship building and solicitation skills are critical. 


  • Bachelorís degree and 6-8 years experience in fund raising, including at least 5 years of successful department management experience, CFRE preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, experience in giving presentations to groups, multi-task oriented, and project management skills
  • Experience in managing a capital campaign and donor cultivation and gift solicitation
  • Computer literate, experience in working with project management software and fund development software
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Experience in managing a capital campaign
  • Strong demonstrated writing skills; ability to read, interpret and synthesize information on an issue and present relevant details, quickly if necessary in a clear and concise written document.
  • Working knowledge of methods and procedures used in review, rating, and evaluation of grant applications, including public grants.
