Kitchen Supervisor - NSP III

Hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: M-F 7:30-3:30 pm

SUMMARY: The Nutrition Services Provider Ill will promote high nutritional standards in Reach Dane multi-site locations.  Responsible for the areas of food preparation, food service, clean-up and site sanitation. This position will follow food service and preparation guidelines based on the agency menu cycle as well as state and federal regulations.  This position is also responsible for the supervision of a team of NSP Iís.


  •  High school diploma or GED required
  •  Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
  •  Must be at least 18 years of age
  •  Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job
  •  Previous experience in a large-scale food production operation
  •  Ability to work independently
  •  Knowledge of quantity food preparation, equipment, and food purchasing.
  •  High school diploma or equivalent required.
  •  Minimum 3 yearsí supervisory/direct managing experience working in a food service position with cooking and related duties.
  •  1 or more yearsí experience cooking specialty diets and having knowledge of menu substitutions for individuals with allergies.
  •  Strong math skills and experience scaling recipes and portioning.
  •  Experience in purchasing and preparing culturally diverse foods for groups.
  •  Ability and desire to effectively work with low-income children and their families
  •  Professional demeanor.
  •  Strong working knowledge of personal computers, Windows and Microsoft Office software.
