Job Center Teacher

Department: Education Preschool (3-5)
Location: Madison, WI

Reach Dane/Reach Green offers a generous benefit package to regular employees that work 20 hours or more per week. Hours: 35 hours/week
Schedule: Flexible between 7:45-4:45 pm

Location: Job Center

Job Center Teacher will provide a safe, nurturing and welcoming environment for children ages 0-12 years that are served by and participate in the Wisconsin Works Program (W2). The Job Center Teacher will assist parents and families in the enrollment process and aid in acclimating children in to the environment. The Job Center Teacher will provide Direct Care to children during their stay ensuring all children are provided with a variety of developmentally appropriate activities and materials to ensure the children feel welcomed and enjoy their visit. The Job Center Teacher is responsible for ensuring the classroom is maintained in a clean and orderly manner. The Job Center Teacher will follow Reach Dane policies and procedures and Wisconsin State Licensing rules and standards (when applicable). They will maintain positive relationships with families, Reach Dane staff and community partners.


  • High School diploma or GED

  • Must Be at least 18 years of age

  • Must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others and be able to relate well to children, families, staff and community, and collaborative agencies.
  • Must be willing to fulfill their responsibilities in accordance with the agency’s mission

  • Knowledge of and experience with infant/toddler, preschool, and school aged care.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Experience working with and sensitivity to low-income and families of diverse cultures.

  • Knowledge of and experience with children with special needs is desirable

  • Demonstrate effective listening, oral, and written communication skills.

  • Successfully pass Caregiver Background Check prior to employment and a physical examination including TB test verifying employee is free of communicable diseases and physical ability to perform job responsibilities
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to all cultures
