QUALIFICATIONS YOU'LL NEED
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development required; Master's preferred
- Certification: Registry Level 14; DPI certification in ECE, ECEEN, or related field desirable
- Management Experience: Extensive experience in Early Childhood programming management; minimum 2 years successful supervisory experience
- Teaching Experience: Minimum 1 year in early care education setting with preschool teaching experience
- Specialized Knowledge: Head Start Performance Standards, Wisconsin Licensing, Creative Curriculum, Early Childhood Accreditation, infant/toddler and family childcare programming, subsidized childcare management
- Leadership Competencies: Staff training and development, leadership and advocacy, extensive supervision experience
- Professional Competencies: Excellent interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity with low-income and diverse families
- Language: Bilingual in Hmong and/or Spanish preferred
- Additional: Special education experience desirable; valid Wisconsin Driver's License with adequate insurance; TB test upon hiring
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Multiclassroom Site Director, you'll lead comprehensive programming by:
- Directing one of Reach Dane's larger multi-classroom sites serving children ages 0-5
- Providing site leadership to create safe, nurturing environments that support holistic child development
- Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum for children in low-income, at-risk environments
- Supervising and providing performance feedback, training, and development for reporting staff
- Managing compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, Wisconsin Licensing, and accreditation criteria
- Overseeing infant/toddler, preschool, and family childcare programming across multiple classrooms
- Managing subsidized childcare operations and ensuring program quality
- Building positive relationships with parents, staff, and community partners
- Leading staff development, advocacy, and continuous program improvement initiatives
- Ensuring comprehensive services including education, health, nutrition, and family support
