QUALIFICATIONS YOU'LL NEED

  • Education (one of the following):
    • Infant Toddler Credential/CDA
    • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with 18 ECE credits
  • Specialized Knowledge: Coursework specific to Infant and Toddler Development required
  • Registry Requirements: Must secure Registry certificate within 90 days
  • Skills: Strong ability to apply Early Childhood Development theory and adapt to individual children's needs
  • Language: Bilingual capabilities in Spanish and/or Hmong desirable
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Experience in multicultural, low-income environments preferred
    • Excellent communication and listening skills

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As an Infant Toddler Teacher, you'll provide specialized care and education by:

  • Planning, designing, and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum for children ages 0-3
  • Serving as primary childcare provider for enrolled infants and toddlers
  • Providing supervision, performance feedback, and scheduling for reporting staff
  • Following families' cultural values and practices in caring for their children
  • Reinforcing parents' vital role as primary educators of their children
  • Ensuring compliance with all licensing and Head Start requirements
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and nurturing environment
  • Acting as positive liaison between community agencies and families
  • Adapting programming to meet individual developmental needs
  • Providing guidance and support to families
