QUALIFICATIONS YOU'LL NEED
- Education (one of the following):
- Infant Toddler Credential/CDA
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (with 18 ECE credits)
- Strong understanding of Early Childhood Development theory
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Experience in multicultural environments (preferred)
- Ability to obtain Registry Certificate within 90 days
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an Early Head Start Teacher, you'll create a nurturing environment for children ages 0-3 by:
- Designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Providing responsive primary care for infants and toddlers
- Creating safe, clean, and culturally responsive learning spaces
- Ensuring compliance with licensing requirements and Early Head Start Standards
- Supporting each child's unique cultural background and learning style
- Promoting social-emotional development and resilience
- Challenging deficit-based narratives about children and families
